UKAEA Winfrith sponsor youth cricket
July 10, 2007
UKAEA Winfrith (on behalf of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority) have recently sponsored the youth section of Dorchester Cricket Club which has enabled them to purchase a bowling machine.
Chairman of the club Tony Foot said: “The machine will enhance the weekly practices in the new net bay and help the young players in their development as batsmen. It will allow the coach to adjust the speed, spin and trajectory of the ball, which will keep the batsmen on their toes!”
UKAEA Winfrith Communications Manager Emma Burwood said: “We are delighted to be able to help the Dorchester youth cricket club with their request. UKAEA tries and help the local community out whenever possible, this seemed an excellent project to be associated with.”
Tony Foot added: “Dorchester Cricket Club wishes to express its grateful thanks to the UKAEA at Winfrith for its generous support.”
