Demolition of Building 60

Demolition of Building 60 water tower at Harwell has just commenced using an impressive 95 tonne high reach machine.
The water tower was an original RAF building used to provide water on the site, and was also used for some experimental work, including carbon isotope separation.
The tower is being removed as part of work to remove liabilities to enable release of the Eastern part of the licensed site.
