RSRL brings science to Schools

October 12, 2009

Pupils at Chilton Primary School have received a donation from Research Sites Restoration Limited towards their outdoor interactive science project.

Equipment such as speaking tubes, slopes, pulley systems and concave mirrors will allow the children to interact and explore science in a new and exciting way.  The children will learn the importance of working in teams, investigative thinking and asking challenging questions.

The project aims to enhance the schools science programme and contribute towards improving the school’s environment, providing a unique and memorable experience for the children outside of the normal class environment, using a variety of positive teaching methods.

Chilton’s Head Teacher, Christine Dunsdon said: 'The Science Project is a very innovative one - to have outdoor science challenges and experiences is a special opportunity for our school.  As we have very important scientific neighbours it is appropriate that the school has a key focus on science and we appreciate having the support from RSRL to enable us to enthuse our young scientists'.
