B462 Efficiency improvements and the use of the Alstec gamma gate in 462.2 enabled the team to significantly exceed the PBI figure of 670 cans this financial year.

The RM2 debris grab has been successfully released and a programme of work to return RM2 to service has been developed and is being implemented.

B459 The B459 team has successfully completed the post operational clear out, enabling the facility to move into care and maintenance. The facility will be re-categorised and remain in service under a reduced scope for essential external source receipts.

LETP Work to empty the High Level Activity (HLA) plant of encapsulated sludge drums from the last campaign is under way. The contents of the next batch of Whessoe sludges have been thickened in preparation for processing. Sampling of legacy waste stored in B336.34 has been undertaken for analysis. Redundant plant at the rear of the building has been removed to provide access for planned enhancements to the facility, in support of future decommissioning operations.

B220 The radium processing PBI was achieved with 45 cans dispatched to 462 over the year. An option study on the feasibility of the Decommissioning Cell hoist replacement has also been instigated as this represents a major risk factor to the completion of the 462 can reprocessing.
