Winfrith Counter Terrorism Exercise

A Counter Terrorism exercise took place at Winfrith on the 10th November. The regulator found the exercise to be acceptable and the actions taken met the security requirements.
The scenario had two different elements to it; a stolen source, and protestors at the main gate who later accessed the site. Jerry Matthews commented “As always there are lessons to be learnt from exercises like this; the emergency team performed well and it was a good team effort. It was pleasing that the site inspector gave credit in this area”.
