The demolition of B413 is underway

November 25, 2010

The demolition of B413 is now underway and is expected to be complete by Christmas this year. The building was built in the late 1950’s as plating and pickling facility. Later the building was converted for other uses, the west end becoming a location for instrument calibration services and the east end becoming a laundry facility. Finally all the laundry equipment was removed and the east end of the building ended its working life as a joinery workshop.

The building is being demolished as part of Harwell’s ongoing programme of de-licensing and land release in the eastern area of site.
