On the 5th July the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) and RSRL hosted a visit by staff from the China Institute of Radiation Protection (CIRP), the China Atomic Energy Authority (CAEA) and the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO). The visit was lead by the CIRP Director, Prof. Zhang Jiangang.

A morning session of presentations by Steve Chandler of DECC, Prof Jiangang of CIRP, Vaughan Rees from RSRL and Tara Beattie and John Mathieson of NDA was followed by a visit to the B462 complex in the afternoon.
On arrival at B462 the visitors were welcomed to the Harwell site by RSRL Managing Director Alan Neal, who gave them a brief overview of the key role of the Harwell site in the development of the UK civil nuclear programme. This was followed by a tour of B462.27 led by Stuart Watson and Andy Carey.
