RSRL support children in their communications
March 5, 2013
RSRL recently sponsored Chilton Primary School in Oxfordshire and Lulworth and Winfrith Primary School in Dorset by donating money to purchase a MP3 digital audio resource known as “StoryPhones”. Designed for use in primary schools, the wireless headsets give children a new way of listening to audio resources; to help develop their language, communication, listening, literacy and social skills. The learning tool which can be used indoors and outdoors allows children to listen to pre-recorded stories, sing along to songs, join in listening games as well as learn a new language - they can even record their own stories to share!
Head Teacher, Sharon Buckland commented “The children and staff at Lulworth & Winfrith Primary School would like to say a very big THANK YOU to RSRL for supporting the school in allowing us to buy these fantastic new “Storyphones” headsets. These are an amazing teaching support and a hugely versatile resource, for children of all ages and abilities.”
Head Teacher at Chilton Primary, Sandra North, commented “These storyphones are very popular with the youngest children in our school giving them access to story and ICT in a very fun and engaging way. Their bright colours and innovative design make them very attractive for the children. We very much appreciate this support from RSRL.”
