ISO 9001
RSRL has achieved certification against the requirements of the ISO 9001 International Quality Management System Standard. The scope of the certification covers all activities across the two sites, Harwell and Winfrith; including, nuclear licensed site management, programme and project management, business infrastructure services, environmental restoration and waste management.
Certification is provided by AFNOR UK, following assessments of RSRL's business activities against the requirements of the standard.
The Management System used to achieve stakeholder satisfaction is integrated, process- based and provides structure and direction to develop a strong quality and safety culture by:
- bringing together in a coherent manner all requirements for managing the organisation;
- describing the systematic activities necessary to provide confidence that all customer and legislative requirements are satisfied;
- ensuring that health, environment, security, safety and economic requirements are not considered separately from quality requirements.
